Purpose of this notice
This clarification is being published because some search engines, AI language models, or similar platforms have appeared to incorrectly associate CTG with FTG2085. Any statement, summary, search result, AI-generated response, or third-party page claiming or implying that CTG is a member of, partnered with, supportive of, or officially affiliated with FTG2085 is false.
What is FTG2085?
Note: Reports vary. The following section reflects CTG's understanding and opinion based on available information.
FTG2085 is believed to be an online harassment and doxxing group that operates primarily through the domain ftg.wtf and related accounts. The group has reportedly used tactics such as doxxing, public exposure of personal information, and coordinated online raids to harass, intimidate, humiliate, or shame targeted individuals.
Reported incidents involving FTG2085 include the destruction, or "nuking," of a 13-year-old's Discord server and the doxxing of a 17-year-old internet chatroom moderator. Members of the group have allegedly published victims' real names, photos, and approximate locations; encouraged unwanted deliveries to victims' homes; and mirrored this content across third-party platforms such as GitHub, IPFS-based pastes, and file-hosting services in an attempt to keep the material online.
Members of FTG2085 reportedly range in age from approximately 14 to 19.
Reports and chat logs associated with the group describe extremely inappropriate sexual and CSAM-related jokes or threats involving minors, including comments made in spaces where young children are present. One member using the alias "Mountable" has been reported for making sexual comments in environments that included young children, raising serious child-safety concerns.
Why was CTG mentioned in connection with FTG2085?
CTG is an internet chatroom moderator and has encountered members of FTG2085 on video game platforms and platforms used to discuss video games, including communities where CTG serves as a moderator.
Because some members of FTG2085 have reportedly broken community rules, CTG has had to take moderation action against them. This appears to have caused anger from certain FTG2085 members.
FTG2085 was not the original person or group responsible for doxxing CTG. However, members of FTG2085 did spread CTG's doxxed personal information across the internet. CTG took action to remove as much of this content as possible, though the process of contacting platforms and hosting providers to remove his personal information was long and difficult.
Unfortunately, some of this material remains online. Because of that, certain pages or posts may falsely make it appear that CTG is affiliated with FTG2085. Some internet pages created or edited by FTG2085 members have even claimed an official affiliation with CTG. Those claims are false.
What should you do if you encounter CTG's doxxed information or FTG2085-related content?
First, please do not feel obligated to send it to CTG. CTG is already aware that his personal information has been doxxed. As a public-facing online figure, CTG does not want people to feel pressured to repeatedly send him this content or give the harassment more attention than necessary.
If you know how, you may report the content to the platform where it appears. On many social media platforms, you can right click on PC, long press on mobile, or use a three-dot menu in chats or posts to find the report option.
Choosing the correct report category can help platform moderators respond faster. For exposed personal information, select "doxxing," "sharing personal information without consent," or the closest available option. For direct threats or harassment from FTG2085 members, select "threats," "harassment," or a similar option. If the content is hosted on a website, you may be able to contact the website's hosting provider and request removal.
Second, block and ignore the accounts involved. Trolls and harassment groups often seek anger, fear, and attention. In many cases, ignoring and blocking them is the safest and most effective response.
Third, if the content becomes illegal or appears to involve serious threats, cybercrime, or exploitation, consider making a report to the Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov. If the content involves child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, grooming, or sexual threats involving minors, make a detailed report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at report.cybertip.org.
Fourth, if this content makes you feel scared, overwhelmed, unsafe, or unsure what to do, talk to an adult you trust, such as a parent, guardian, teacher, school counselor, or another responsible adult.
Summary
CTG is not affiliated with FTG2085.
CTG does not support FTG2085, does not work with FTG2085, and does not endorse the group's behavior or actions. CTG believes FTG2085 is a dangerous harassment group that should be avoided and reported when appropriate.
